The third supported non-profit organization in this year’s CCC Charity Calendar, that we’re going to introduce to you, has been chosen by our colleagues in one of our Essen locations.
This time, it’s all about the animals in need and we’ll be glad to support “Die Tierrettung Essen e.V.” (The Animal Rescue Essen) with the donation of 2,000 EUR!
“Tierrettung Essen e.V.” is a rescue service organization with two of its own ambulances equipped with veterinary medicine for pets. It has set itself the task of getting help to pets as quickly as possible, if it’s impossible for them and their owners to do otherwise.
But the scope of their activities is much wider – starting with wild animals rescue, search and catch operations, emergency care on site, relocations and transports and ending with placement of abandoned animals.
Stephan Witte had the idea of starting an animal rescue organization back in 2008. At that time, however, his own company was too time consuming and there was not enough time to implement it. After three more years, he decided to take the project into his own hands. At the end of 2011, the finished concept was ready and could be implemented. Stephan Witte made a large part of the investments required for such a project, such as an animal rescue vehicle and technical equipment, from his own financial resources. What a commitment!
