Essen Employment Agency awards CCC first Certificate for Inclusion

Competence Call Center Essen GmbH is the first company to be awarded a Certificate for Inclusion by the Essen Employment Agency. With the certificate, awarded in mid-April, the Agency honours the company’s ongoing commitment to employing people with disabilities.

“In addition to the Certificate for Training, we now have the possibility to honour companies for successful inclusion“,

says Rolf Heiber, Operational Manager of the Essen Employment Agency.

“People with disabilities still have a harder time finding a job than other applicants, even if many of them are very well qualified and have skills and abilities that are very valuable for companies. In this context, CCC is a role model of how inclusion can be a living reality. The company even introduces people to jobs who have not yet had the opportunity to gather experience in this line of work.“

Ulf Herbrechter, CCC Chief Operations Officer, is very happy and honoured:

„It is great that our commitment is being seen and appreciated. This strengthens us in keeping up our work in the field of inclusion. Our company philosophy is: ‘What counts are your skills!’ We evaluate the talents and skills of the people who apply for a job with us, and we do not exclude anybody. At our various CCC locations, for example, we employ people from 60 different nations, as well as older employees. We offer newcomers or people coming from different career backgrounds very good opportunities to join in the working life, and we are always on the lookout for motivated and committed employees.“

CCC, an international Customer Service provider, currently employs about 550 people in Essen. They are the first contact person for the customers of renowned partners from the e-commerce and logistics industries, as well as of a big German airline and other international companies.

Customer Service Agents‘ tasks include handling customer requests by phone, e-mail, chat, and social media. Useful qualifications for working at CCC Essen include enjoying customer contact and having very good communication skills, as well as very good PC skills and an interest in handling multimedia devices. Knowledge of further languages such as English, Italian or French are an advantage.

“By honouring the company, we want to reach other companies too, and get them interested in talking to us about inclusion. The Employment Agency offers profound counselling and agency services for people with disabilities in matters of work and training, as well as financial support for employment promotion. For example, we can contribute part of the monthly salary for a certain time or finance necessary modifications of the workplace. Further training and qualification of people with disabilities are another important concern of ours“,

says Rolf Heiber.

CCC has been operating in Essen since October 2013. In all, the company has six locations in Germany, in Berlin Friedrichshain, Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, Leipzig, Dresden, Essen and Dortmund.
